The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs has launched a new web and mobile eLastovka application for Slovenian nationals travelling abroad. The application allows faster and easier access to key information and significantly more effective notification in case of emergencies or crises.

At the Munich Security Conference, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon said that contemporary security challenges cannot be effectively addressed without inclusive leadership and the equitable management of natural resources. “Gender equality and access to water are key factors for stability, conflict prevention and the strengthening of international peace and collective security.”

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon is participating in the 62nd Munich Security Conference, which has brought together more than 60 heads of state and government, 100 foreign and defence ministers and numerous experts and representatives of civil society. The conference remains one of the most important global forums for discussing current foreign policy issues and common security challenges.

Minister Fajon: Bavaria accounts for 20 per cent of Slovenia's total trade with Germany
During the visit of the Bavarian State Minister for European and International Affairs, Eric Beißwenger, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon welcomed the continued strengthening of relations between Slovenia and Bavaria. She encouraged further Bavarian investment in Slovenia, particularly in high-value sectors. The two Ministers also discussed the importance of EU enlargement to include the Western Balkans.

New impetus for Slovenian-Bavarian cooperation on the 50th anniversary of the Mixed Commission
At the 34th session of the Permanent Slovenian-Bavarian Mixed Commission, the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs, Tanja Fajon, and the Bavarian State Minister for European and International Relations, Eric Beißvenger, signed a joint declaration. It confirms the traditionally excellent cooperation between Slovenia and Bavaria, paving the way for further strengthening the partnership with concrete projects in various fields.

WB3C and World Economic Forum Convene Regional Cyber Dialogue
The Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Center (WB3C) is proud to announce its collaboration with the World Economic Forum (WEF) to host the region’s first Cyber Capacity Building Workshop on 19-20 May 2025 in Podgorica. This high-level gathering will convene global experts and regional stakeholders to strengthen the Western Balkans’ cybersecurity resilience through two critical streams: addressing the cyber talent shortage and enhancing collaborative strategies against cybercrime.
