Slovenia Weekly: Another triumph

Due to high prices, the Government continues to help vulnerable groups. As a result, pensioners will receive a 4.5 per cent pension increase in November. The negotiating positions for increasing the minimum wage are also set. Luka Mesec, the Minister of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities, said that the minimum wage is already to be harmonised with minimum living expenses this year, and next year, it will also be harmonised with the inflation rate.

Another triumph of Slovenian tourism. We Slovenians tend to be unaware that we live in one of the five most beautiful countries in the world. National Geographic recently published its long-awaited Best of the World 2023 list, which also includes our Alpine and green country of hills and mountains. Slovenia made its way into the Nature category, together with the Scottish Highlands and the Portuguese Azores representing Europe. "Widely recognised as a leader in sustainable tourism, Slovenia has already cooked up a number of eco-friendly tours under its seven-year-old, countrywide Green Scheme," National Geographic wrote. It was marked as one of the underrated natural escapes and less visited destinations that are worth visiting in 2023.
