A national call centre has been launched to help the residents in Slovenia after the floods. The purpose of the call centre is to provide centralised, up-to-date, reliable and comprehensive information on recovery efforts following the floods that impacted almost two-thirds of Slovenia in August 2023.

Prime Minister Robert Golob emphasised that the call centre is specific, as it covers all areas of state administration: "I believe that it will be proved that state and public administration are invaluable to the people when they stand by the people." He believes that this practice will also be used in the event of future natural disasters: "The number 114 will become a synonym for help in the event of natural disasters, the help provided by the state to all who need it."

The Slovenian Government's effective response and success in addressing the challenges of the consequences of the floods was also acknowledged by a delegation of US Congressmen received by the Prime Minister. The meeting also confirmed the excellent relations of the two friendly countries and close NATO allies.
