Slovenia Weekly: New Chapter

In the last Slovenia Weekly newsletter before the summer break, you are invited to read, among other things, about two interesting topics. The first is the excellent news that representatives of the Slovenian Government and the French car manufacturer Renault have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Novo mesto, on whose basis the Revoz plant will produce a revamped version of the electric Twingo. Production will start in 2026 and the initial annual output will be 150,000 cars. This move will secure not only Slovenia's future as a car manufacturer but also its transition into a producer of electric vehicles.

You are also invited to read the news about the presentation of the Slovenia House in Paris, the heart of Slovenia during the Olympic Games. Slovenia’s colours will be represented by its largest ever team at the forthcoming Olympic Games in Paris, which will begin at the opening ceremony on Friday. 90 athletes will compete in France, while the delegation consists of 197 members in total. Slovenia will be represented by the largest Slovenia House since 1992, whose aim is to create an inspiring environment where guests and visitors can immerse themselves in the diversity of our country, learn about its rich cultural heritage, marvel at the sporting achievements of our Olympians, and discover Slovenia's dynamic economy and tourism potential.

Have a nice holiday and see you again in August.
