Slovenia Weekly: Nothing is impossible

"This visit is a demonstration of the trust and friendship that we have built, both personally and between Slovenia and the United States, during the largest prisoner exchange since the Second World War. Our achievement is proof that nothing is impossible." This is what Prime Minister Robert Golob wrote in the White House guestbook, when he paid a working visit to the United States at the invitation of US President Joe Biden. This was the first working visit of a Slovenian Prime Minister to the President of the United States in 18 years.

After his meeting with US President Joe Biden, the Prime Minister stated that he saw his first visit to the White House as a sign of the respect, trust, and friendship between the two countries. The Prime Minister and the President covered a wide range of topics, from international developments to bilateral relations. "I am confident that this visit will open many doors for Slovenia in the future, and that all of us – our businesses, researchers and artists – will take full advantage of these opportunities," concluded the Prime Minister.
