On the second day of her visit to Jordan, Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon was granted an audience with His Majesty King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein of Jordan. She also met with the Commissioner-General of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in Jordan, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organisation, and representatives of UN agencies in Amman, and visited a refugee camp.

The Republic of Slovenia sees the proposals on the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza, coupled with the unilateral "redevelopment" of the territory, as unacceptable. Such proposals constitute a flagrant violation of international law.

140th regular session of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia

At 140th session, the Government initiated a discussion on the Amendments of the Organisation and Financing of Education Act. The discussion was suspended and will be continued at the next meeting. The Government earmarked additional funds of EUR 1,500,000 to finance the public cultural project European Capital of Culture 2025.

The event was hosted by the Jožef Štefan Institute, where the Prime Minister addressed the audience.

State ceremony on Slovenian Cultural Holiday

On the eve of Prešeren Day, the Slovenian Cultural Holiday, a state ceremony will be held in Ljubljana during which the Prešeren Prize and Prešeren Fund Prizes will be awarded as the highest recognition in the Republic of Slovenia for outstanding achievements in artistic creation in Slovenia.
