Erna Flogie Dolinar is a master of science in urban and spatial planning (Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering) and a graduate engineer in geodesy, employed as Deputy Director-General of the Surveying and Mapping Authority. Prior to her appointment as Deputy Director-General, she worked in the fields of mathematical modelling of real estate, real-estate market research, topography, spatial planning, and drafting of relevant regulations. She has chaired several inter-ministerial working groups on valuation, modelling, planning, and land and property management. She has received further training in these fields at the Universität Bonn (Institut für STÄDTEBAU, Bodenordnung und Kulturtechnik), the Universität Munchen – Lehrstuhl fur Bodenordnung und Landeentwicklung, and in Sweden (National Land Survey in Swedesurvey). She worked as an assistant professor at the Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering in Ljubljana for two years and was the Secretary General of the Association of Surveyors of Slovenia for two terms.
