Administrative Court
The Administrative Court exercises judicial supervision over administrative matters, i.e. the supervision of the legality of acts and of the operation of administrative authorities of the State, thereby performing one of the most important judicial functions.
Under the Slovenian constitutional order, judicial supervision over administrative matters does not include only the supervision of the legality of administrative acts but is a very important aspect of ensuring the judicial protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms. The Administrative Court also decides on the legality of individual acts and actions interfering with the constitutional rights of an individual if no other form of judicial protection is provided.
The Administrative Court has the status of a higher court.
