International Affairs and Public Relations Division serves as the contact point for international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity of the Republic of Slovenia. In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA), it leads the Interministerial Coordination Working Group on Cybersecurity for the strategic level of policy development, with a focus on the international dimension.

It maintains close ties with international organizations and participates in joint projects and initiatives. As the national coordinator for cybersecurity, it oversees the work of the cybersecurity advisor within the European Union (EU) and NATO. The sector collaborates with the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and manages Slovenia's bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity. In partnership with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs (MFEA), it addresses cybersecurity issues within the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United Nations (UN).

It coordinates interministerial proposals for international cybersecurity agreements and works with MFEA on cyber diplomacy efforts. It is also responsible for organizing international events and managing protocol tasks related to the office's activities.

In addition, the sector handles expert, advisory, and coordination roles in public relations, overseeing communication with both external and internal audiences, as well as managing crisis communication in the event of a cyber incident.
