Paying Agency's Accreditation Section
The primary role of the Paying Agency's Accreditation Section is to provide technical support and perform tasks essential to the fulfilment of the Minister's duties and obligations as head of the competent authority. In addition, the section monitors and supervises compliance with the conditions for the accreditation of the paying agency.
The section provides substantive and technical support for the work of the competent authority and its delegated committee and carries out tasks relating in particular to:
- monitoring and verifying the compliance of management systems with the accreditation criteria applicable to the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD);
- making proposals for the legislative and institutional framework necessary for the establishment and operation of the management bodies;
- monitoring and supervising compliance with the accreditation criteria and overseeing the procedure for applying for, granting and withdrawing accreditation for the paying agency, represented by the Agency for Agricultural Markets and Rural Development (AAMRD);
- the procedure for appointing and monitoring the work of the certification authority, represented by the Budget Supervision Office,
- participation in EU working groups in the area of work.
