Eva Knez
Eva Knez, born on 27 August 1984, graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana.
She started her business career at Sportina's financial and commercial controlling department as an assistant and then moved into accounting, where she gained experience at the Colgate-Palmolive Adria international company. She was attracted by the young and dynamic atmosphere of Gen-I d.o.o., where she first worked as associate in the Billing Unit in the electricity and natural gas trading area, and later took over the management of the Unit. When the subsidiary Gen-I Sonce was set up, she accepted an invitation from the management to establish and head a new Contracting and Operations Unit. With the expansion of the company, the need arose to set up a general affairs service, in which she headed business administration, human resources administration and payroll. Prior to her appointment as State Secretary, she served as Chief Operating Officer and headed the back offices of the Gen-I Group.
In her work, she focuses on people, since good relations and respectful, open communication are key elements to achieving good results.
She enjoys spending her spare time outdoors, sometimes on foot and sometimes on horseback.
She took office as State Secretary on 18 October 2023.
