Development and International Cooperation Division
The Development Policies Division coordinates and monitors the implementation of the Slovenian Development Strategy 2030 and is responsible for the consistency of other strategic documents with the goals thereof. It maintains the integrity of development policies and plans the establishment of a system for the coherence of financial and substantive frameworks at the national level. It works towards establishing improved mechanisms for horizontal and multi-level cooperation, linking content, and understanding cross-cutting themes.
It ensures the compliance of the national development planning documents with the development documents of the European Union and other international organisations. By coordinating and monitoring the implementation of sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it ensures greater consistency of national and international development goals. It ensures the evaluation of effectiveness and efficiency of the execution of programme documents regarding the implementation of the cohesion policy. It is participating in two Interreg Europe projects in the field of circular economy, namely Retrace and Symbi.
