  • Promoting regional development

Internal regional policy pursues territorial development objectives. Decisions are taken at lower levels, while the state determines the conditions and the cases in which it gives its approval to the decisions. Horizontal regional policy focuses on the coordination of national development policies that have a strong regional impact.

  • Cohesion regions in Slovenia

To implement EU cohesion policy and carry out other joint development tasks, development regions are grouped together as a cohesion region.
