Mihael Kelemina, adviser to the Minister of Culture

Miha Kelemina graduated in history of art in 2010 at the University of Ljubljana’s Faculty of Arts. He completed his studies at the World of Art, School for Curatorial Practices and Critical Writing at SCCA-Ljubljana, and undertook additional training in project management. Between 2012 and 2016 he worked at Radio Študent in the culture and humanities editorial department, and for a while was also the editor of the Art-Area programme.
Since 2016, until his recruitment to the minister’s office, he was a freelancer in the culture sector. He has worked with various NGOs, and has curated a number of contemporary art exhibitions for various organisations. From 2016 he was the head of the World of Art School run by SCCA-Ljubljana in partnership with Cukrarna (The Museum and Galleries of Ljubljana). Since 2018 he has worked with the Scool of Arts at the University of Nova Gorica, where he lectures on the history of 20th Century Art. For the last year he was also a member of different committies, and the City of Ljubljana’s working group for sustained dialogue with NGOs and freelancers in the culture sector.
