Dr Miroslav Kranjc obtained his master’s degree in 1997 and his doctorate in 2000 in the field of electrical engineering at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana.

He was one of the first employees at the then established Ministry of Information Society and was involved in almost all aspects of the professional, HR and organizational development of the ministry.

For more than 17 years, he was a Supreme State Auditor and was the head of the Business Control Audit Department at the Court of Audit of the Republic of Slovenia. While working there he carried out several demanding audits of important state systems and procedures (in the fields of health, education, sustainability, social affairs, sports, international affairs, natural disasters, local self-government, political system, etc.), environmental audits, audits of information systems and business continuity. He often shared his knowledge and experience with different stakeholders and audiences both at home and abroad.
