The Financial System Directorate follows topical issues and developments in its field of expertise in Slovenia and the EU. It drafts or helps prepare system-wide solutions and regulations in its field of work; it represents the Ministry in bilateral and multilateral relations and its contacts with international financial institutions and other international organisations; with respect to EU and the OECD issues, it coordinates the Ministry’s cooperation with the competent foreign and domestic institutions; it participates in the work of international financial organisations; it adopts decisions on cooperation programmes within the framework of international development assistance; and it supports development assistance projects of Slovenian organisations and cooperation with international organisations providing development aid.
