Iztok Kos is a specialist physician in pathology, employed at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana. Prior to this, he worked for many years at the Dr Franc Derganc General Hospital in Šempeter pri Novi Gorici. In 2022, he served as the Acting Director-General of the Healtcare Directorate at the Ministry of Health. Between 2017 and 2021, he also held the position of Secretary-General at the Medical Chamber of Slovenia.
