Marjan Pintar
Marjan Pintar was born in 1959 in Goriška Brda. After graduating from Tolmin High School and the Faculty of Law of the University of Ljubljana, he worked in the economy for 17 years, three years as a general sector director and the rest as a director of several companies. In 2004, he was appointed Head of the Social Activities Department of the Municipality of Nova Gorica. He was Director of the Health Centre in Nova Gorica for nine years and a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of Health Care Institutions of Slovenia for all these years. After that, he was Director of Soške elektrarne Nova Gorica for four years. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Nova Gorica General Hospital, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of HIT Nova Gorica and a member of the Supervisory Board of Hidroelektrarne na spodnji Sava. For the last five years, he has been the Director of the Association of Health Care Institutions of Slovenia.
Marjan Pintar is a knowledgeable expert on the Slovenian healthcare system with many years of experience in business, public administration and healthcare.
