Dan Juvan was born in 1987 in Ljubljana. He holds a degree in philosophy and sociology. Before assuming the role of State Secretary, he worked for six years as an expert associate in the Levica parliamentary group, focusing on labor, the welfare state, and education. During this time, he contributed to the drafting of legislative changes that ensured an additional paid day of leave for parents, the closure of stores on Sundays, as well as increases in the minimum wage, payments for student workers, social assistance, and the welfare allowance.
