Franc Props
Franc Props, a university graduate in economics with a master's degree in organisation and management, gained his professional experience in several fields of work. For several years he worked for SPL Ljubljana, where he held various positions from 1984 until May 2010. Among others, he was Assistant Director of the Technical Sector in charge of supervising and coordinating investments in client-owned facilities and Director of the Real Estate Management Sector. In 1994, he was appointed management representative for the ISO 9001 quality system. He managed projects providing IT process support, the electronic document capture project and the creation of a web portal for business support. In 2010, he continued his employment at the then Ministry of the Environment and Spatial Planning and later as Acting Director of the Institute for Water of the Republic of Slovenia. In April 2011, he became Director General of SPL and held the position until 2019. He was also a member of the Supervisory Board of the Krško NPP Decommissioning Fund, a member of the Board of Directors and the General Assembly of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, and Chairman of the management board of the Real Estate Business Chamber. Franc Props knows very well how the state administration works. He also gained experience in this field at the Litija Administrative Unit, where he was the Head from 2020 to 2022. He became a deputy of the National Assembly at its last convocation.
