Small and medium-sized enterprises
Small and medium-sized enterprises constitute as much as 99.8 per cent of all companies in Slovenia. They are called the backbone of the national economy, as they employ almost 70 percent of the people and generate 65 percent of the revenue of all companies.

Employee Participation in Profit Sharing
Based on an agreement on employee participation in profit sharing registered with the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, a company may pay its employees a certain percentage of the profit of an individual business year, which is subject to tax relief and social contribution relief.

Social entrepreneurship is a form of entrepreneurship that responds to problems in society and creates social benefit through its products and services. Social enterprises thus contribute to innovative solutions to social, economic, environmental and other societal problems, providing jobs and social inclusion for vulnerable groups.
