The area of free flow of services includes ensuring adequate conditions for the cross-border provision of services in the EU internal market, which also includes the information system for the internal market IMI and the Slovenian SOLVIT centre. 

The area of free movement of products includes the preparation of regulations and other acts for the transposition of European regulations in the areas of ensuring the free movement of goods (non-food products) in the EU internal market, eliminating technical barriers to trade, regulating the conditions for placing products on the market, and determining essential requirements for products for the protection of the public interest (technical, security and other requirements).

The division also handles the area of price control.
