Anti-Trafficking Service
The Anti-Trafficking Service is responsible for inter-ministerial cooperation and coordination of activities in the area of prevention and combating of trafficking in human beings at the national level. It provides expert support to the national coordinator for combating trafficking in human beings in preparing proposals for strengthening the efficiency of policies, measures, periodical reports for the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, action plans and other strategical documents regulating this area. It participates in the EU institutions and international organisations working on combating trafficking in human beings and implements the requirements and recommendations of various international supervisory mechanisms.

Trafficking in human beings is a phenomenon that occurs in all parts of modern society; it is becoming a structural element of some industries; and above all it grossly encroaches on the rights and fundamental freedoms of the individual who becomes a victim of such trafficking or exploitation.
